VIDEO: State Department Staffer Arrested After Calling for Elon Musk to Be “Lynched”

A visa specialist at the U.S. State Department, identified as Arslan Akhtar, has been arrested and is currently under internal investigation after a disturbing video surfaced.

In the footage, Akhtar is heard calling for tech entrepreneur Elon Musk to be “dragged out of the building” and “lynched on the street.”

Following the video’s circulation online, State Department officials confirmed that Akhtar has been relieved of public-facing duties, and an immediate internal review was launched. Federal policy strictly prohibits employees from inciting violence, and disciplinary measures—including termination, revocation of security clearances, and possible criminal charges—could follow if allegations are confirmed.

Although authorities have not released details about where and when the video was recorded, the department’s move underscores the seriousness with which such threats are treated.
