Democratic Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett defended former President Joe Biden’s mental fitness in recent public remarks, stating that any perceived decline is still far superior to that of President Donald Trump.
“[Biden] is a granddaddy,” Crockett said. “His mental deficiency is still 1000 times better than what we currently have.”
Her comments came amid renewed public debate over Biden’s cognitive sharpness, a topic that has remained in the spotlight even after his departure from office.
Crockett urged Americans to apply a consistent standard when evaluating public officials, regardless of party affiliation.
“I just wish that ultimately this country would judge each of our leaders with the same measuring stick,” she added.
Crockett represents a Texas district in the U.S. House of Representatives and has been one of the more outspoken defenders of Democratic leadership. Her remarks appear to reflect broader frustrations among Democrats over what they see as an uneven media narrative surrounding political fitness.
