VIDEO: Judge Sends Jury Back to Deliberate After Partial Verdict in Diddy Trial

The jury in the federal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs has issued a partial verdict on four of the five charges but remains deadlocked on the most serious allegation—racketeering conspiracy.

Federal Judge Arun Subramanian has ordered the jury to return to the deliberation room to continue discussing that outstanding charge.

After approximately 12 to 13 hours of deliberation, the jury informed the court that they reached a verdict on Counts 2 through 5—comprising two sex‑trafficking charges and two counts of transportation for prostitution relating to his ex-partners Cassie Ventura and another woman identified as “Jane.”

However, they were unable to agree on Count 1, the racketeering conspiracy allegation under the RICO statute, citing “unpersuadable jurors on both sides.”

Both the prosecution and defense requested that a partial verdict not be accepted, and Judge Subramanian concurred. He addressed the jury directly, instructing them to resume deliberations on the outstanding racketeering count. Jurors will reconvene tomorrow morning to continue their discussions.

The racketeering charge carries the gravest potential penalty, including life imprisonment if Combs is found to have orchestrated a criminal enterprise through at least two predicate offenses from a list that includes kidnapping, arson, sex‑trafficking, forced labor, drugs, or other crimes.

The trial, which began in May 2025, laid out allegations that Combs led a pattern of coercive abuse—dubbed “freak-offs”—involving drug‑fueled, multi-day sexual events with escorts, which were documented and used as leverage.

Prosecutors emphasized the systemic nature of the alleged crimes, whereas the defense presented text messages reflecting consent and affection, describing the encounters as consensual.

Combs, 55, remains in custody and faces a potential life sentence if convicted on any major charges. The trial has garnered intense public scrutiny, fueled by dramatic testimony and graphic allegations.

As deliberations resume, both sides await the jury’s final resolution on the racketeering charge—an outcome that could determine whether a full verdict against Combs is possible.
