Marshall Woodruff, who attended the rally, says he was shot in the face by law enforcement during the event. The impact caused severe trauma to his right eye and cheek, requiring emergency surgery.

“The bullet fractured my cheek and tore into my eye,” Woodruff explained. “I ended up in surgery for about four or five hours that same night.”

While doctors were able to perform repairs, the extent of the damage to his vision remains uncertain.

“There’s still a big question mark over how much I’ll be able to see out of my right eye,” he said. “We just don’t know yet.”
