MTG Announces ‘New Chapter’ In Costa Rica With Ex-Reporter

Former congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene generated speculation on Monday when she announced a “new chapter” in Costa Rica with her fiancé, former White House correspondent Brian Glenn of the Right Side Broadcasting Network.

The post, which featured a photograph of two coffee mugs on a railing overlooking the ocean and palm trees while tagging Glenn, included the caption, “I’m so thankful to start the next chapter”

The image and caption were shared shortly after Glenn, a former White House correspondent, resigned from his position. Greene’s post coincided with ongoing public speculation about her post-Congress plans, following her resignation from the House of Representatives earlier in the year.

Right-wing activist Laura Loomer seized on the post to claim Greene had “fled” Georgia by citing unverified allegations that she sold her home in Rome, Georgia, for $1.1 million in March 2026 and purchased a $5 million property in Costa Rica. Greene responded to the claims in an X post, in which she stated that she continues to live in Georgia and simply traveled to Costa Rica for a vacation.

The former congresswoman also dismissed Loomer’s “insider trading” allegations and stated that her wealth had been accumulated through her family’s construction business. “I’ve never been involved in ‘insider trading’, as I had signed a fiduciary contract and all of my investments were made by my financial advisor and legally reported in all of my FEC reports following the law. Oh and I didn’t make $25 million or whatever liars like Larry Loomer claim. But if anyone can point me to where that bank account is, I’d be grateful,” Greene wrote.

“And for Costa Rica, yes Brian and I love it! It’s a beautiful country filled with beautiful people! We love to travel all over the world and will share lots of pics and videos,” the post went on.

Since leaving Congress — which followed a weeks-long media tour in which she trashed the Trump Administration’s immigration policies, praised Nancy Pelosi and accused President Trump of prioritizing “foreign countries” over Americans — Greene has become vehemently anti-Trump.

In media appearances, including on programs such as “The View,” she has described her earlier unqualified support for him as rooted in naïveté and has questioned certain policy directions within the administration.
